The Wet Lizard

I first went to the Wet Lizard 3 yrs ago on a cruise, we recently went back a week ago and found that it had been completely redone and added on to and expanded to include upper and lower deck with a gift shop. These improvements included new roof. what I was wondering is, does anyone know if this was due to storm damage or the added commercialism to the area? The food was just as great as I remember!
