Onboard account - Cash

Recommended Posts

If I purchase OBC ahead of time and don't use it all, how is that refunded after the cruise?

Yes. But you can only use refundable (purchased by you or a friend) for DSC. Non-refundable (gifted by NCL) can not be used for DSC. If DSC is pre paid, you're good either way.

We got a refund a few weeks after we got home for any extra refundable OBC and the cash deposit left over we didn't use.

A couple of weeks after? They don't give you the money back at the end of the cruise when your account is closed out?

not offended, i was just looking for a simple answer....

It does NOT usually work that way on CruiseCritic! lol lol lol

Take my advice, if you are pre-paying your gratuities, you do not need to put down $300 on your account.

Just put down what you think you will spend on the cruise and keep tabs on your spending. Add more as needed as you go along.

NCL are NOT known for being quick to refund you YOUR money!

I hope that helps.

Thanks,

Fred
