Hello,

I have looked on previous posts and can't find anything posted of late. This is first time renting a car pre and post as I've always used shuttle.

Renting a car in FLL and want to drop off in either MIA (preferably) or Miami area and access FREE shuttle to POM. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Post cruise want to do opposite. Rent in MIA or Miami area and drop off in FLL using FREE shuttle from POM.

Thanks in advance for advance.

Yeah, it's free to sign up. Once enrolled you can choose the Emerald Aisle as the midsize rate and then get your pick off the non-luxury vehicles on hand. We got a Chevy Equinox and a Pacifica minivan for the same rate as a Toyota Corolla.

Does national have a free shuttle to and from POM? Tried calling them and no one seems to know

Yes, National, Enterprise and Alamo share a shuttle and Thrifty and Dollar share another shuttle.

Took them both last week.

I would go with whichever you can get a better price with though I will say the National/Enterprise/Alamo shuttle was larger than the Thrifty/Dollar shuttle which made trying to get on it at POM faster. From MIA both shuttles were pretty empty and easy to get right on.

I would suggest Thrifty or Dollar as they can be best value.

Last year we rented post cruise from Dollar, free shuttle from POM to Miami airport, picked a small SUV for 3 days and returned it in FLL.

Once paperwork is done at counter, you proceed to the parking lot and you choose the vehicle yourself. No need for loyalty program.

Happy cruising.

I appreciate your email. I regret to inform you that we do not provide a shuttle service to and from the Miami Port. However, the airport may provide this option but you would need to reach out to them directly regarding this information.

Avis/Budget offer a free shuttle from their downtown/POM location (not MIA). We have used them twice, though you will need to find a way to get there from the airport if you are flying into MIA.

On one trip, we flew into FLL and got a one-way rental to the Miami/POM location. It was great having a vehicle for the day before we sailed out. We then had another one-way rental once we returned from our cruise, from the POM/downtown location back to FLL. We had 6 people with us and a minivan/SUV rental was less than what we would have paid with a shuttle company or Uber.

Maybe I misunderstood the original request. We rented a vehicle from FLL National and returned it to MIA National and took the free shuttle to POM. They have a free shuttle from MIA to POM. As far as rates, National is cheaper than Thrifty or Dollar with the Ohio State employee discount, maybe not otherwise, plus the better vehicle with the Emerald Aisle. The service is great because you don't have to fill out paperwork at the counter. Just pick your car and leave. But, that's just my experience, to each their own.
