Decorate on own or through RCCL?

I see in the documents that cabin decorations (i.e. "Happy Birthday"/"Happy Anniversary") are $30. It's unclear whether they do the decorating for you. And, if so, is it worth it?

For $5 I can buy my own stuff, get on board early, and decorate our special person's cabin. What would you do?

Thoughts? Thanks!!!

I had it done for my husbands birthday on the Jewel last year. It was really fun to arrive at the cabin and see it decorated. There was a sign and some small curly streamers on the door and a bunch of streamers criss crossing the ceiling over the bed. Then there was a larger decoration hanging on the drapery rod over the balcony door and a card with the message we had typed online. It was good. Definitely could be done cheaper yourself but we enjoyed it.
