Princess Evening Whale Quest Question

Good morning!

 

Looking at excursions in Juneau, I see Princess is offering an "Evening Whale Quest". We are in port 13 hours (until 9:00 PM) and were thinking about doing this. It apparently includes a light dinner buffet in addition to the whale watching.

 

My question is has anyone done this before? Is it worth doing it in the evening (or better stated, is it better to do in the evening or during the day)? We want to do a helicopter/dog sled during the day, so figured the later in the evening the better for our schedule.
