Which beach for Snorkling in Nassau?

We will be in Nassau from 1 - 6 pm. I doubt if there is enough time to do Atlantis for the day pass. Thought we would take two teenagers snorkling instead. Could someone recommend a beach for snorkling?

get a taxi to take you to cabbage beach on paradise island; it's gorgeous and usually deserted on weekdays, at the end the rock jetty has pretty fish. When you get hungry, go back up to the road, walk a couple of blocks up to Paradise Island Drive then go towards the Ocean Club; on the right is the entrance to Columbus Taveran (there is construction in front of it)and have lunch over looking the bay on the nassau side.

the other option is to take the boat to Rose Island to another pretty beach.
