Where's my AARP Carnival Gift Card??

Once it's applied to your bill it subtracts the from the balance so whatever is on your bill it's used for. We ended up only $162 after our cruise so all of our gratuities were paid by the gift cards.

Consider the gift cards like making a deposit to your checking account. You deposit them (like your paycheck) either at the kiosk or guest services and all charges you make with your sign and sail, including casino, shops, gratuities, drinks etc are drawn against your balance till gone.
