Alaska cruise question

For those who have done Alaska on the Carnival Legend...

Since it stays light so late in Alaska, do they leave the curtains open in the MDR for dinner?

If you are lucky enought to get a table by the windows, do you have nice views?

We had YTD and the one night, we went without our teenage son, so we had a table for 2 near the windows. Yes, the curtains were open. I can't say to the actual view, as it's almost always pretty! LOL! And we weren't right next to the window, but like a table over from it.

We had YTD too and almost always were seated by the windows. Views always great and they will pull them if the sun is too bright and in your face. Enjoy, and you will LOVE Alaska!!
