Legend of the Seas- Alaska

Hi All:)

 

Have you sailed Alaska on the Legend of the Seas? If so, how did you like it? We've been to Alaska on the Coral in August, but feel that we will be disappointed if we go again on the Legend. Its a much older ship. Also, how is the crew? We chose this cruise because its so convenient for us with flights, dates, etc.

 

 

Also, would our cruise have a somewhat younger group of people? I remember one day when the Serenade was in port the same day as us, we saw how much younger the passengers were compared to our cruise (Coral Princess)

I didn't know Legend of the Seas was doing Alaska.....I thought it was Vision, Radiance and Serenade only. If I had the choice, I would use either RD or SR...we are booked on Vision for convenience of the departure date.

The legend will be doing europe again this year, the last time she sailed alaska was in 2003? Like the previous poster said, you should try the serenade.

Ahhhhhhhh... so sorry!!!! I meant the Vision!!!!!!!! Is there anyway that the mods could edit the title to Vision of the Seas- Alaska?

Vision is a nice ship....just not quite as fancy as the RD and SR,....we've had a great time on her....service was great when we sailed her in Hawaii. Princess is not to our liking....so I'm probably biased on any comparisom.

The vision class is a great class of ships. Not quite as nice as the Radiance class, but really no complaints, especially because the price is usually a little bit lower!

We've sailed Vision when it was doing RT's out of Vancouver. It's a very nice ship and we were very comfortable sailing on her. I have pictures of our Vision Alaskan cruise at http://community.webshots.com/user/dougp26364
