Carnival E-Gift Card - Options to apply to upcoming cruise

Upcoming cruise in October. Cabin has been paid for, Cheers and Excursions already purchased. I just discovered the Allstate rewards program with the discounted Carnival Gift Cards (100.00 cards for 90.00). I purchased a few of them (5 total) and cannot figure out how to redeem them since everything is already paid for in full. Can I print out the E-Gift card and use it as a payment for my sail and sign card ? How can I translate these E-Gift cards into OBC ? Or do I need to purchase "Cruise Cash" from the FunShops?

You will need to print them and apply at check in, Guest Services, or a kiosk. If you want it on your account before you board, purchase Cruise Cash but make sure it's not Photo or Bar as those are only able to be used for those things.

 

Last cruise I had $200 in gift cards. I bought $200 CC and it was already loaded on my account. I'm doing the same with this cruise. My $200 CC will be waiting for me when I board. Saves me one additional step. I know I will use almost all of that and what I don't use I'll cash out via the casino trick (see other threads for explanation) the same as if I applied the GCs.

 

The only thing you have to be careful of is if you think you might only use say $300. Then I would buy $300 CC and add the additional GCs to your account on the ship as needed. Then if you don't need them, save for next time. You don't get that option with CC. Hope this makes sense.
