Does Tahitian Princess offer instructions and SCUBA certification during the cruise?

The Grand and Golden also offer this.

However, after just getting certified I can say without doubt that I would not want to waste my vacation on the cruise learning to scuba dive.

Do it at home (the classwork part) and do your checkout dives on the ship or at home.

Don't buy a bunch of scuba stuff. Just get your basics. Skin or wetsuit, mask, fins, snorkel.

The best advice is to do your study at home. Tahiti has a great many easy dives for a new diver. Plus you always have a dive guide. I did several dives as a newly cerified diver and had a blast. THere were a few people who were doing check out dives on each of our boats from the TP. One was a woman on her honeymoon....her husband wanted her certified, hmmm. I wonder if they are still married..every port she was at it again, without a lot of fenuine interest.

If you are going in a gew days early you could do your check out dives. BUt it would be a lot less expensive to say fly to key largo and do them there !
