Fish on Alaskan Cruise?

On the west coast of Canada, we specify our salmon by name. If you see Sockeye (Red), Coho (Silver), Pink, Spring and Chinook (King) then it's wild. US names in ( ) .Steer clear of Atlantic salmon. That's farm raised salmon. This is helpful for navigating menus in Vancouver.

 

I was raised eating Pacific salmon. There's nothing like it. Everyone goes for Sockeye cause it has the biggest hype. But unless it's on the medium rare to medium side then it's quite dry. The best, IMO, is Coho and Chinook!
