14 and 16 year olds at Christmas on Mercury

This Christmas our group will include a 14 year old girl and a 16 year old boy. What kind of activities could they expect? I've noticed the kids all seem to be having a good time, but I never paid much attention.

At that age, regardless of what activities the ship might try to organize, the most popular activity will be 'hanging out'!

Our 16 yr old daugther was with us on the Horizon in Feb. She was the only teen out of seven children on the ship. She had a wonderful time. The youth staff go above and beyond. They would meet up her for shows, and made sure she was enjoying herself. They plan activities geared towards the ages of the children. They get a print out of how many ...the ages and they plan accordingly for that cruise. Also in the main dining area...they may be too old for the children's menu but when there was really nothing that would appeal to her, they would offer a couple of choices not on the menu. She enjoyed herself so much that she is travelling with us on the Mercury Jan. 2/06.

My two sons (11 and 15) favorite activities included hanging out and eating! :p

On a Christmas cruise there should be plenty of kids. I am sure they will do what they do best :rolleyes:
