we will be in port at grand cayman in Feb. 2006 aboard RC Mariner of the sea. We were thinking of doing the snorkle and rays with lunch excursion. anyone done that and what did they think? Should we book a different excursion through a private company? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. this is our first cruise and our first time to the island. Thanks:)

Most members of cruise critic advocate going with a private operator for stingray city. The cruise excursions use huge ships, so it you don't want to see the rays with 60 of your fellow cruisers, private is the way to do.

Please don't see this as a criticism, but a more descriptive subject line would be a little more helpful to get people to read your posts.
