Fascination local food/drink suggestions

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon all,

I'm cruising the Fascination next year (Southern Caribbean leaving from San Juan, PR) and I'm looking for suggestions on the "must try" island food and drinks from the ports. Restaurant or bar recommendations near port are also welcome. I'm thinking of local favorites that I probably can't try here in California. For example, in San Juan I'd love to try mofongo and mallorcas.

Ports of call are San Juan PR, St. Thomas USVI, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and St. Maarten.

Just got off the ship on Sunday. The only place we ate, other than at the beach, was in St Maarten. We ate at a little French bakery in Marigot, called Le Divin. I wanted to try Saraphina's, because I read reviews, but there was a long line, and we didn't have time to wait. Le Divin was next door, and there was no wait. We just got a quick "French bread pizza" type of thing, and ate it cold, but it was delicious. If we'd have had more time, we probably would have gotten something more elaborate, but we were happy.
