Rare basketballdad Posted August 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2017 Looking to book December out of Genoa... it goes around the med in a circle. So starboard would have glimpses of the coasts... Other option is the back, looking back. Fantastica basic balcony... 2 adults, 2 teenage boys. Anyones thoughts... would starboard or backwards facing be your choice?

Actually the Meraviglia cruises in December are all clockwise routes, so the coastlines, if at all visible, will be on the port side and not the starboard. In addition the ship has departure times which are mostly in the hours of darkness and cruises at night. And finally MSC cruise ships tend to sail a reasonable distance from the shore so there won't be a lot to see. Maybe in Palermo and Valetta you will see the coast, in the morning, as she docks at 10:00 in these ports. Pete PS I wouldn't do any lottery games, if I were you, as your record for gambling, even on a 50:50 choice, is not good, given a choice of port or starboard you guessed wrong........... lol Edited August 24, 2017 by Skier52
Rare basketballdad Posted August 24, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted August 24, 2017 Thanks pete... looking at deck 11 port side (left looking forward)... some of the backs are in the corner and it appears there is some blockage viewwise... so middle on deck
