Carnival Fun Points

Does anybody have a problem in redeeming their fun points toward a cruise.

I have enough now for one free fare, but I'm continuing to accrue until January, when I will book the Breeze for 2019. (I'm sailing NCL Getaway this January). My understanding is that you just use your Carnival Mastercard to book entire cruise all at once. Then you just go into your MasterCard account online, and select that you want to use your reward points towards your card's balance. Sounded pretty easy to me. I've had this card for several years, and I had enough for one free cruise about 9 years ago, and used it to pay for my daughter and son in laws honeymoon cruise. But it was different then. You had to have the FULL FARE in order to use it. Now, you can use whatever you have towards your balance.
