Gypsywych Posted August 31, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2017 I've heard about yoga or pilates classes on board various cruise ships. How about Tai Chi?
Fern Crest Posted August 31, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2017 I've never seen tai chi classes on a cruise, but I've only cruised in the Caribbean. Perhaps a cruise with ports in Asia might have them. If you practice tai chi, you can certainly go through your forms up on the sports deck in the mornings and evenings. I do all the time. Sometimes people ask questions or join in on the Beijing form, but mostly people are doing their own thing like yoga or pilates or running, jogging, whatever. Have a great cruise! Ofmyheart Posted September 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2017 I too practice Tai Chi and have never seen it offered on a cruise. I have heard a rumor that it is offered on some Asian Cruises. I have seen it practice by other passengers on board and once saw it in the passenger talent show.
riffatsea Posted September 1, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 1, 2017 I would not expect it on the ship. In fact I wouldn't really take the yoga class either. I like yoga taught by yoga studios and not gyms which is quite a different sort of experience.
