Thompson beach stop( la romana port)

anyone done the all inclusive beach stop in la romana with Thompson?, it's 50 pounds and a six hour trip, but only advertised as a three hour beach stop to include drinks, is it at dreams resort? Currently deciding weather to book this with Thompson or book a day pass direct with dreams for 65 dollars, work out a little more when factor in taxi but you get it from 10.30-5pm and price includes food.believe taxi 90 dollars return for van, think can hold 5 people?, anyone took taxi safely from this port to beach?

It's at Bayehibe beach hotel and you can get lunch in the buffet It was £45 last year!!

Thank you for the reply, I know it's only 25 mins away from port, I'm wondering why it's saying a six hour trip If only 3 hours at beach, does it go elsewhere?

No we've been there twice and it takes about an hour It takes about 20mins to collect your towel and walk through the grounds to the beach!!

Where did you find out about this, were on Celebration in Jan

It's on the Thomson excursions page for your cruise - only if you're on for 2 weeks La Romana isn't particularly safe One year all passengers going for a walk round the port were sent back by the police so it's better to do an excursion at this port

Yes a lovely beach and sea - you can get sun beds under trees so you're in the shade and as much to drink as you like of whatever takes your fancy Towels provided also
