kknorr0320 Posted September 10, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2017 I can't find anything to back this up. Last I heard it was supposed to head east away from land, other than a few islands. perditax Posted September 10, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2017 Don't know what model you're looking at there. Some models have it making possible US east coast landfall in ten days. Ten days is a LONG time in hurricane tracking. The models I've seen also have it hitting much further north than FL. But ten days, so basically meaningless. Big_G Posted September 10, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 10, 2017 Weather channel said it was making a loop and then stalling. Weather dude said, "We don't like it when they stall." No other explanation.
perditax Posted September 10, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 10, 2017 Yeah, no way are NHC / TWC gonna make a call on it this far out. Think about how much Irma's track shifted in 48 hours.
kknorr0320 Posted September 10, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 10, 2017 Can someone please link this here? I'm sitting here waiting for Irma and I've seen nothing about Jose turning around. Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app
perditax Posted September 10, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 10, 2017 Can someone please link this here? I'm sitting here waiting for Irma and I've seen nothing about Jose turning around. Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/storminfo/#12L Scroll down, some of the models show the possible loop. They are unreliable long term models. That's why you won't see it on the NHC page, it's still fantasy land.
kknorr0320 Posted September 10, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 10, 2017 Thanks. I was starting to have flashbacks to 2004. Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app

kknorr0320 Posted September 10, 2017 #12 Share Posted September 10, 2017 Jose won't be an issue but you probably won't go too far East. Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app

jamesr3939 Posted September 11, 2017 #14 Share Posted September 11, 2017 The National Hurricane Center is showing a really weird "loop to loop" route. It's still to far out to predict exactly.
