CruiseQc Posted September 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2017 Hello ! We were on the Norwegian Dawn for the 7 days Bermuda cruise from Boston on Sept 8 to Sept 15. I hope this review will help some people who, like me, read this forum before making their final decision. Day 1 - Embarkation Day We were a day in advance in Boston. We booked a park and cruise package from a nearby hotel and they offered a shuttle from the hotel to the cruise terminal. Very convenient ! We arrived at around 10 AM, did the usual security check and checked in at the NCL counter. We booked an Aft facing penthouse so we were lucky enough to wait in the special lounge where they have big comfy chairs, snacks, coffee, tea, juice, etc.
CruiseQc Posted September 17, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted September 17, 2017 Embarkation started at around 11:30. Just in time for lunch ! We headed to our stateroom, dropped our carry ons and went to Moderno for lunch. Suite guests can have lunch in the Moderno restaurant. When there is too much people in the Moderno, they send people over to Cagney's. So this was our first lunch from the Cagney's lunch menu. I had the flat bread and the salmon: My girlfriend had the charcuterie platter and the nicoise salad:
CruiseQc Posted September 17, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted September 17, 2017 After this amazing lunch, it was time to enjoy a drink on our balcony while waiting for the ship to set sail. For those who are wondering about the size of the aft balconies, deck 10 has much bigger balconies than deck 9 or 8. We had two lounge chairs along with two other chairs and a table. And had still room to walk around all this furniture. We had pre ordered a shrimp cocktail from the NCL website prior to our cruise. If you pre order these items in advance, you will save a great deal of money ! The plan was to have it delivered to our room in time for the sail away. Clint was right on time and we were able to enjoy delicious shrimps with the bottle of sparkling wine provided with the room.
CruiseQc Posted September 17, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted September 17, 2017 Our first dinner reservation was Cagney's. We both had the crab cake but were too excited and forgot to take pictures. You can take my word for it, the crab cake is worth trying ! Our entrees in pictures, the lamb chop and the rib eye (both were absolutely amazing):

CruiseQc Posted September 17, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted September 17, 2017 Day 2 ends at the Los Lobos mexican restaurant. A lot of people recommended the tableside guacamole so we had to try it for ourselves. The tableside guacamole experience: Nicely paired with warm chips and a drink ! CruiseQc Posted September 17, 2017 Author #13 Share Posted September 17, 2017 And just when you thought this was over... desserts ! Side note about the Los Lobos restaurant. The prices are really cheap. If you have the UDP, you might want to save your package for another restaurant. You have to save some room for the homemade ice cream. Really. Vanilla, Mexican chocolate and avocado. With a side of chocolate cake !
CruiseQc Posted September 17, 2017 Author #14 Share Posted September 17, 2017 Day 3 We docked in Bermuda on Sunday morning instead of Sunday afternoon. The storm was looming over us and I guess the captain wanted to arrive early in case we had to leave sooner. As always, beautiful weather in Bermuda !
