Santorini, Akrotiri. Opened or closed?

I'll be in Santorini at the beginning of November. I'd really like to visit Akrotiri. Do you know if the will be closed or opened? If yes, is it easy to go there by bus or a taxi?

I think it is closed. I am going this June. The shore excursion guide I rec'd from Celebrity listed Akrontiri Excavations as one of the tours. When I went on the site to book it, it was not available.
