dtwtraveler Posted October 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2017 The QM2 is in Boston only 2 hours on the second-scheduled Boston day on the Independence Day cruise July 1-6, 2017. On July 5 the ship leaves Boston at 2 AM! It is then at sea until it arrives in NY in the early hours of July 6. Why? Boston should be listed as only one day, July 4! jburton59 Posted October 14, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2017 The ship isn't really in port two days. It remains in port after midnight so that people can join the July 4 festivities that evening and see the fireworks. Really, July 5 is a sea day. dtwtraveler Posted October 14, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted October 14, 2017 Many passengers plan on the promised two days in Boston! And don't forget the hours spent in immigration upon the arrival into Boston from Canada!
Host Hattie Posted October 15, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2017 The itinerary is a bit misleading at first glance but it does say departure July 5th, early morning. As far as I know that's been the case for this sailing for the last few years. Are you on this cruise ?
