Transfers From Fort Lauderdale

My husband and I will be landing in Fort Lauderdale but our Carnival Cruise leaves from Miami. Do you know the easiest and inexpensive transfer operator or should I purchase transfers from Carnival?

We used Tri County Shuttle...just outside baggage claim you'll see the sign.

When you arrive at the airport, collect your luggage and go outside the baggage claim area, lower level, curbside, contact one of our starters (customer services reps.) wearing a white shirt with "AIRPORT EXPRESS" in red on the back of the shirt and an emblem on the sleeve and over the breast pocket. Let the starter know what service you are interested in and he/she will assist you.

We are going from FLL to the Holiday Inn - Port of Miami. We have 5 in our group. I was told by someone at the hotel that a cab would be cheaper than a shuttle. Anyone done this?

No way is a cab cheaper from FLL to downtown MIAMI... Cab fare from FLL to downtown Miami is roughly approximately $75-85 or so per cab - For 5 people you'll need TWO cabs.

shared ride is only one way-- from FLL to Miami. you will still need soemthing from Miami to FLL.

It sounds easy to get transportation to the Holiday Inn Port of Miami from Ft. Lauderdale. I would also like to know how to get to Ft. Lauderdale from the ship at the port of Miami. Should you reserve transportation ahead of time?

It would depend on what time your flight is.

 

But I have always made arrangements for a car service going from FLL to Miami and back. Il like to have all my ducks in a row.
