eagletwo Posted October 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2017 We had one on the Caribbean Princes last December. Not sure if it is in the same location. Our cabin was on the front port side.
dforeigner Posted October 26, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 26, 2017 Does anyone have experience with the Family Suites on the Crown Princess? The suite is a combination of a mini suite and an inside room. It does have a bit of additional real estate in the living room area. The balcony is huge and open. There is no barrier so when at sea, it is very windy. If you lay down on the chase lounge, you will be fine. What exactly are you wanting to know? Ellipooh Posted October 26, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 26, 2017 I'd like to try a Family Suite, but i just wish they'd offer other locations than right up front.
dforeigner Posted October 27, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2017 Considering the Family Suite on the Crown... Wondering about the pros and cons of the Family Suite. All the amenities that full suite guest receive. Two bathrooms. A lot of extra room in case you want to have breakfast, lunch, and or dinner in your room when ordering from the main dinning room. https://www.princess.com/downloads/pdf/ships/PrincessSuite_eFlyer.pdf
eagletwo Posted October 27, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 27, 2017 The wind coming over the balcony can be a little rough. Ship cruises at 22 kts and if you have stong headwinds added to this, the balconey can be interesting if you want to read a book. Just opening the balcony door underway can be fun. Our family of four were upgraded to the family suite on the Caribbean Princess. We did enjoy the extra space, the ability to order room service from an expanded menu, breakfast in Sabitini's and ordering room service on the last day. We all agreed we would not book this type cabin and pay the regular price. But the free upgrade and a lot of OBC made it an easy choice.
