pcwoodwardflier Posted October 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2017 Queen Mary 2 transatlantic. Advice sought; we booked later than friends albeit through the same travel agent and who assured us no problem that we would all be sat together in the Britannia Dining Room. Trying to ascertain from cunard that we will all be sat together for dinner but not getting a straight answer; any tips for ensuring we sit together with our friends? thankyou! Have your TA contact Cunard and request that your bookings be linked. This should assure that you are seated together. Ricki
robbie_3 Posted October 30, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 30, 2017 Also perhaps see the assistant MD on boarding to check linked table booking.

Trying to ascertain from cunard that we will all be sat together for dinner but not getting a straight answer; any tips for ensuring we sit together with our friends? thankyou! It may be to late if your Transatlantic crossing is coming up, but if you have friends who wish to dine together and have made separate bookings, then you should ask for a TWID number and get the bookings linked. Cunard will supply your TWID number which you then pass on so that your friends can get there booking linked as well. Its possible that the TA has already done this. To confirm see the maître d' early afternoon on boarding day who usually attempts his utmost to assist you. If the booking is via a Travel agent then Cunard usually do not get involved with the booking. The TA can do all this on the complete cruise solution booking system they use. hihilo Posted October 31, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 31, 2017 We had the exact same situation, 2 of us booked at the same time....... then about 2-3 weeks later, 3 good friends booked. We just called CUNARD, they asked for both of the booking reservation numbers, and names of all involved, and it was done easily and quickly. Over many years, calling CUNARD from the USA is one of the easiest things to do as they answer promptly ( no long horrendous waits on hold) and everything gets handled easily and correctly. I get the feeling, from posts on these boards, that its not that easy from the UK. :-( :-(
