Southendweather Posted November 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Just checking, would I be right in saying that I will need an adaptor from American type plugs or do they have UK 3 pin? Keith (Southend)

Southendweather Posted November 19, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted November 19, 2017 There are two American and two European sockets. Sent from my iPad using Forums Thanks Sheila, we will take our adaptor(s) together with a short extension lead with 4 sockets. Don't worry, just used for phone chargers etc, not electric heaters ;p Keith (Southend)

WeeCountyMan Posted November 22, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 22, 2017 No need for an extension if you only need to charge mobile 'phones and tablets etc. using the supplied USB cable - this type of device is ideal, you can change the plug to suit the socket in your cabin or hotel. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/201580313780?chn=ps&dispctrl=0&adgroupid=49522719561&rlsatarget=pla-380358660170&abcId=1128966&adtype=pla&merchantid=113475907&googleloc=9046907&device=c&campaignid=857333925&crdt=0&var=500790290316 You can find similar in local stores. Sheila49 Posted November 22, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Discovery 2 has USB sockets in the bedside lights. Hopefully these will soon be installed on Discovery 1 and the other ships. Sent from my iPad using Forums

WeeCountyMan Posted November 23, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Incidentally I was in Poundland this morning - they have the regular style US mains socket to UK plug adaptors - and also UK single USB charging plugs. So, pair them together, add your supplied USB charging cable - and you have a setup that'll do the business for £2. Only charges one device at at time - but if there are two sockets on board, simply invest in two of the above combos. That should be sufficient for most punters.
