Anyone ever stayed at the Cardozo on South Beach?

Wife and I have a rom on hold at this South Beach art deco hotel owned by Gloria Estefan - looks pretty decent at $165/night but wondering if anyone has ever been there and can tell me a little more about the place?

I haven't been in the rooms, but it's a nice place. It's a very small boutique hotel in a great location right on Ocean Drive.

Thanks Trent - I did read the TripAdvisor reviews and they weren't bad overall. This is one of those places where I think I'll have to hear from one or two people who have actually stayed at the place to get an accurate take on whether it's a good choice or not. Given the ridiculous prices for most everything else on that strip and what I've read so far, the value seems good, but you never know...

Some of my family has used this hotel in the past and highly recommend it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Thanks for your post, too, fingerprints. We can get a reduced rate at this place as well (around $165/night, down from the standard $205). Lots of good reviews about the restaurant here, and it seems as if it's on the "quiet" (relatively?) end of Ocean Drive, but close enough to all the action to walk to everything we'd want to see/do. It's just a two-night stay for a football game, so we're hoping to cram in a little of the whole South Beach experience while we're in town...

Be sure to have a Mojito at the Cafe Cardoza. The foods very good as well. ;)
