Zuiderdam fire Hoax

Last weeek I posted that the crew was burning deck chairs to entertain people on the Zuiderdam while they suffered through record low temps near freezing.

 

It turns out it was a hoax by the staff to send these details back to family in e-mails as much of the country was in the grips of a terrible snow storm and deep freeze.

 

I heard the news from 2 unrelated parties and fell for it.

 

Sorry if I caused any problems. Turns out in was in the 70 and 80 all the time.
