Hello all!
We are doing the tour with Los Veranos next month in PV. Any good suggestions for lunch? Is their restaurant that you end up at good? Any other noteworthy places we should eat at instead?

Thanks bunches!

Hope I can catch both of you with this info:
In doing some reading it seems that this ends at their palapa (palm-frond-roofed contruction) named Pancho's, and only one free non-alcoholic drink is included, and to quote one person:
"The ride there is great and scenic. You get to see so much! The turn-off to the cables is directly above Chico's Paradise, and kitty corner to the tequila factory. If you really wanted to, you could get off the truck to see either place, and pickup a later truck (they run every 30 minutes). However, we enjoyed hanging out at Panchos. FYI - the "free" drink is only free if they don't charge you for it - which they try to do."

and to paraphrase another:
"it took and hour and 45 minutes to do the 13 lines."

It seems there are many other additional activities there for afterwards, and they all cost extra, including the option of ordering and eating in Panchos.

I, personally, would recommend against it, as the places along the river here have a reputation of being dramatically overpriced for non-quality or quantity foodstuffs.

I say, eat a fair-sized breakfast before leaving the ship, bring at least a large bottle of water with you, plan on grabbing the next truck/bus back to town after your free cold drink, and when it gets to the offices off the Malecon walk to your lunch choice or your shopping area, and grab a cab back afterwards.

Maps that will help you greatly, as well as restaurant lists and other useful data can be found here:

Oh, and be aware the rainy season hit early this year, and PV started raining on Monday AM... you it might be wet/muddy on the tour.

We very much enjoyed our lunch after the zip lines with Los Veranos. Food was delicious and atmosphere was wonderful, in the shade overlooking the river. Could have gone for a dip in the river if we wanted. We were famished after this fantastic adventure. No way would we have lasted until town.
