Reflection - Signature vs Celebrity Suite

We are (2 adults) currently booked in a Signature Suite on the Reflection for a Sept 2018 sailing. Last Sept 2017, we stayed in a Royal Suite on the Silhouette. I am trying to figure out if it is silly not to book a Celebrity Suite (only two of us) for the upcoming cruise. The price is almost $1,300 less per person. Now that all suites are getting all four perks (internet, premium bev package, tips, OBC)...why the price difference? Is it because the SS has unlimited dining and laundry service?Am I missing something else? Just trying to figure out if we can even manage to eat our way through the $2,600 difference in 11 nights! clear.png?emoji-smile-1742 Please share opinions since I have never stayed in a SS or CS....have to say the RS experience spoiled the heck out of us (loved the bathroom and walk-in closet)!

We have sailed in all three cabins and each have their pros/cons. For 2 people, we typically book the CS or Sky suite. A few things to keep in mind-

* We loved the location of the Sig Suites- easy to hop out of your cabin and grab coffee, bit to eat etc in Aqua Cafe

* The Celebrity Suite does not have a "jacuzzi" on the balcony- RS and sig suite do

* CS bed is one position- it does not have adjustable mattress like RS and SS

* You cannot see the ocean from your bed in a CS but you can in a RS and Sig suite

* The CS couch is great as is L shaped- DH and I would lay on the couch like we do at home...very comforting

* as you know, The CS will not have unlimited dining or bar room set up- although you could pay for these things and still be way ahead of the game given the price difference!

* If you can get a CS on the hump, the balcony is HUGE. We try and book this when on Caribbean as we love to sit out on the balcony

* for some reason we did not love the signature suite- the living room was narrow and not a very comfortable couch. We did love the floor to ceiling windows and the bathroom was amazing.

Given the difference in price, I personally would book a CS. We book cabin based on itinerary / how much time we will be handing out in the cabin.

Good luck

This is a nice overview. It does not appear as if there is a Celebrity Suite off the hump for your sailing, so the larger balcony may be a non issue unless someone cancels prior to final payment.

We have sailed in the Penthouse Suite on S-Class and M-Class ships and our use of the tub on the balcony has been limited, so, for us, nice option, but not a deal maker or deal breaker.

The Signature Suite will get you drinks in your room, but we found that this was not really needed since we had the premium beverage package and access to Michael’s Club. It did come in handy when we hosted sailaways, but that was about it.

The unlimited specialty dining option in your Signature Suite is nice, but when we last sailed in the Penthouse in December 2017, we dined in specialty restaurants 3 times during our 11 night itinerary. The food and service in Luminae was so good we did not see the need for any more nights in specialty restaurants. The savings per person on the Celebrity Suite vs the Signature Suite will give you quite a bit of flexibility to use specialty dining at your discretion. Keep in mind, it is not unusual to see special pricing for specialty restaurant dining using your cruise.

All in all...I would book the Celebrity Suite as well.
