ostrich710 Posted January 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2018 Hi, all! We have booked the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Swim through RCCL for our upcoming April cruise. The excursion times are listed as 8am - 12pm. I seem to remember reading that it is possible to take a later ferry back from the island than the 12pm scheduled departure. We were thinking it might be nice to have some afternoon sun to enjoy there before heading back to the ship. Does anyone know if this is a possibility? THANKS! Nevada Jen Posted January 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2018 We were just there and the return times were 1, 2 and 3. We did the family beach day through carnival but the ferries were mixed for everyone in the island. We really did not like the island by the way. Crowded. Tons of families with little kids not well supervised and it just felt super fake and touristy. The dolphin swim might make it worth it though. scubagirrl Posted January 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2018 Unless you are on a cruise excursion that has it's own timeline, returning ferries are at 11am, 1pm, 2pm and 4pm. The trip can take between 25 and 40 minutes depending on the weather (wake)
haply Posted January 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2018 We have been to the Blue Lagoon twice. The ferry does return on the hour during the afternoon. You just need to check your ship's boarding time (the Blue Lagoon dock usually has a sign for what should be your last ferry depending on your cruise ship). We really like the Blue Lagoon. The water is calm and the kids love the water trampoline/climbing/bouncy park (an extra $15 charge per person for use of the water park/bounce things). The water bouncy park is very close to the shore, thus easy to swim/get to. The drinks are good, and cost about $8 each. Highly recommend!
