Tourist Card - Can I get one at La Romana port in Dominican Republic?

I've just found out that British citizens need a Tourist Card to enter Dominican Republic. (I think this may also apply to USA, Canada and other Europe passport holders??)

 

Does anyone know if you can buy the Tourist Card at La Romana cruise port, or do you need to buy it before you travel?

I am arriving in Santo Domingo by air so could get $10 Card at airport but plan to get online in advance so have 1 less line to stand it upon arrival.

only by flying in will you need that tourist card-- not by cruise ship
