no snorkling, no swimming (beach), what can we do with a healthy senior?

We will be in Caymen Island in June looking for something to do on Caymen Island that doesn't involve water, or any physical exertion beyond walking.

There's a museum downtown (not far from port) or if you're willing to rent a car there's the botanical gardens or Pedro St James historical site outside of town.

 

There's lots of shopping and restaurants near the port, if you just want to walk around downtown.

 

What types of things does the senior like to do? Interests? More info might help us make better suggestions.

Thanks for the response. Not shopping so much, she likes history and cultural diversity. There is an added difficulty in that she isn't fluid in English. She speaks french. Are there private tours that can be booked to go to the historical site? Maybe we could combine it with a few other stops. In a private tour we could translate for her and we could control how long and how detailed for the different spots.

There might be some private drivers that could take you to the different sites, but it will be far more expensive than just renting a car for the day. Cayman Safari (google it) might have a set tour that includes the various East End sites.
