Couple of NCL questions including "walking" a courtesy hold

1) Haven't been on NCL since last June. What have been the major changes in the last six months? Policy changes, upcharges, internet, food quality? I'll be on Escape, possibly.

 

(Side note: I tried RCL for the first time last fall. Holy cow, it is NOT for me.)

 

2) Has anyone ever "walked" a courtesy hold forward a few days before real booking? I expected to book a cruise today that's already after PIF, but my boss unexpectedly wants to chat before approving the time off (this is new). I'm basically just trying to hold onto a room for two days till I can clear it on Monday, nothing major.

If you used a travel agent have him or her call; they usually have more pull with the cruise lines. If you booked through NCL it may be a little tougher as they tend to tow the company line; "that's our policy and I can't make an exception".

I walked my gem reservation last year because there are only a few minis not below the pool deck buffet and gym
