sopo1 Posted December 20, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2005 We got in line and waited for an hour while we met new friends and helped an elderly couple who needed a wheelchair but were told five different stories by five different people until it was determined that no wheelchairs could be brought outside and they had to wait until they were inside the terminal building. We finally made our way into building #1 and were glad to be inside. We waited another 30 minutes and then made it into building two where we got into another line to check in. I couldn't believe the people who hadn't filled out the Bahamas immigration form and were scrambling to find pens and places to write. We waited another 30 minutes and then checked in went through security and got on the ship. They handed out deck plans as you entered but there was no one to point out where to go. We found our way to the stairs and made our way to the bowels of the ship. Since we were sailing 14 days we were frugal and chose an inside aft cabin on the Riviera deck 1438. By this time our room was ready and we dropped off our bags and went up to Emile's for lunch. Let me say the Liberty is beautiful. Take the time to look at all the light fixtures, tile floors and art work. Much different feel then we remembered on previous Carnival ships. It made us forget the nightmare of embarkation.
