CJJSmith Posted December 22, 2005 #11 Share Posted December 22, 2005 We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown and it was fine... 113 a night. It was within walking distance to a nice beach/outdoor mall area that was perfect to hang out in the night before the cruise. It was just across the bridge from Miami Beach. The hotel was nothing special at all, but the people were friendly and the rooms were fine. Well worth the price to me when I looked at prices all around the area being over 200 per night. phantom728 Posted December 22, 2005 #12 Share Posted December 22, 2005 We stayed at the Holiday Inn Bayside and it was nice. It's right across from the Bayside Marketplace, which has lots of restaurants and shops. Depending on which room you get, you can get a nice view of the ships at the pier. Enjoy! PlumMad Posted December 23, 2005 #13 Share Posted December 23, 2005 Good luck finding a hotel close to port for January. We are staying at Holiday Inn Bayside in March, and it has been booked solid for about two months now.
coast2coast Posted December 23, 2005 #14 Share Posted December 23, 2005 We statyed at the Radisson Downtown Miami- short trip from airport yet close to cruise port. We got our rooms for $75/night on Priceline. Our room was o.k. Our friends' room was a corner room with walls of windows looking out the port. My friend got a great picture of the Voyager and Navigator docked "nose to nose".
lilducky Posted December 23, 2005 #15 Share Posted December 23, 2005 We are planning on staying at the Sheraton Miami Mart Hotel in Miami. (Although that is beacuse I worked for Sheraton and booked this while employed at the employee rate.) I just checked and the night I will be there (Jan 13th) is selling starting at $159/night on the starwood website. (AAA and AARP get 10-15% off as well). Its about a 15 or 20 min cab ride from where the ship is docked.

Great deal through RCCL directly.
Rare maren91 Posted December 24, 2005 #17 Share Posted December 24, 2005 We will be in Miami at the same time and had a tough time finding a hotel on Jan. 6 because the Orange Bowl is that weekend. Let's hope for good weather though :)
