keikobad Posted February 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2018 We think about stateroom 116 on the Maasdam and wonder if there there will be noise from the showroom. We never go to the shows and prefer to go to bed early. Anyone stayed there and could give an advice? We know that the spa stuff is not worth the high ov category but we like the location of the rooms. Many thanks, Timo Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Many thanks, Timo Hi Keikobad - On the deck plans, it looks like cabin 116 is above a gray area behind the circular stairway in the upper showroom and below a gray area on the Bridge. You might hear some noise during a show...and I would thin there could be some noise from the bridge above which would be busy all night(?) We've never had a cabin that far forward on a ship - it seems like the bow could be pitching up and down in wavy seas. Have you seen this article on CC about cabin locations? https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=77 It mentions: The higher decks and cabins at the very front (forward) or back (aft) of the ship will rock and roll the most. BTW, I've been watching for the review you mentioned of your recent cruise on the Volendam. Where will that be posted? We're particularly interested in how the cabins were updated and if the bathrooms have the new walk-in showers. We've booked an oceanview on the Lower Promenade deck for a cruise next January.
