Sunmail Posted May 10, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Hi, We will be in Rome next week and I would like to take a taxi from the Colesseum to the Trevi Fountain. I've read lots about buses, trains, etc. but I haven't seen anything definitive on the taxis. ONe place I read that taxis are hard to find, another said there are taxi stands with cabs waiting. Does anyone know if taxis are readily available at the colesseum? We'll be traveling with my mother so think this will be the best mode of transportation. Thanks! marcussusan Posted May 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2004 Yes... there is a taxi "stand" near the Collesium... If I remember correctly if you are looking at the entrance of the Collesium the taxis are over to your left... Ask first... They are sometimes hidden by the tour buses. We ended walking around a bit before we found them. Susan Splendour of the Seas - August 9, 2003
