Turkey-Visa Question

Recommended Posts

As a USA citizen I understand I require a visa when I arrive in Istanbul. Is this a simple process completed at the airport on entry? Is there any advantage to apply in advance to the Turkish consulate? Any idea about the cost?

We will be departing Istanbul on the Brilliance but returning to Kusadasi a few days later. Is that considered a separate entry requiring a different type (multiple entry) visa?

Last..is it advisable to register your itinerary with the US State Department?

Any other suggestions? Have a great Holiday.....thanks

You buy a visa upon arrival at the Istanbul airport, it is a separate line just before the passport control. If I recall correctly from last March, it is $20 pp and is good for 3 (or perhaps 6) months. You would not have to buy a new visa for any re-entry during this period.
