LH25 Posted March 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Hi, we want to rent a car while we are in port in Honolulu. From around 10 AM to 10PM, not overnight. I saw an ad for Turo car rental, it looks like Air BNB for cars. Has anyone used it? Any good or bad stories? Thanks Lisa
cccole Posted March 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2018 I know someone who rents their extra car in L.A. through Turo and it's been great for them. We looked into a Turo car in Paris and it's limitations were a problem and many were through a dealer not a private party. The good thing would be if they will deliver the car to you and you can drop it off easily. Have you been on the site to see what the cost would be? It could be a good new option in Honolulu. Let us know. Cherie
borntobehappy Posted March 3, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2018 Used it for two days in Dallas. They picked me up from the airport. Very convenient. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Bob N Pat Posted March 23, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2018 I have used Turo twice, Denver and Sacramento, both with excellent prices and results. We have also rented a van in Honolulu in April, will drop off and pick up at our hotel, hopefully that goes as well as my other Turo rentals. I try to choose a car that has been rented several times with good reviews. Good Luck.
bradburleson Posted April 9, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 9, 2018 I love Turo and will be renting cars using the app in Maui and Kauai. It was MUCH cheaper to get a convertible and a Jeep this way vs. the rental car companies on these two islands.
