smyemar Posted March 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2018 We are looking to sail out of Port Canaveral on our next cruise and I notice alot of people recommending this hotel as one of the best. My question is does it really outshine the other hotels around it to warrant the extra $ it costs. For when I am looking it is an extra $175.00 a night then the Country inn and suites beside it. I love the fact that it has a nice outdoor sitting area and the managers reception. Any thoughts? Thanks.
GTO-Girl Posted March 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2018 For me personally I would not pay that much more for Homewood Suites. Yes it is the newest but the Country Inn and Suites and the Residence Inn (both across the street) from it are nice and clean. They both offer free breakfast and a shuttle to the port for a small fee. All three of these hotels are less than a mile from the port. Have a wonderful cruise!!! SteerageJoe Posted March 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2018 I agree with GTO! Unless you need to sleep 6 in a room (all the Homewood suites allow this) AND the one-bedroom suites at Country Inn are too expensive, then the Homewood could make sense. If only two of you or so, I would stay elsewhere and use the savings to have a nice dinner at Grills or somewhere instead of the bustling managers reception. To compare, Here are photos, etc of Country Inn - http://cruiseportcanaveral.us/country-inn-suites-port-canaveral/ And Homewood- http://cruiseportcanaveral.us/homewoodsuites/
