jake 26 Posted March 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2018 I had a call from Marella Cruises sales to persuade me to book a cabin number for a future cruise, which was OK because I was going to do it anyway. However in his sales patter he said the offer was to book for £45 at a saving of 50% on the actual price of £90!! He ducked my querying that, as I mentioned it was normally £45 anyway. So either he was telling porkies to get a sale or the price is doubling. Maybe a surprise to come in the new brochure.
Vitalsign Posted March 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2018 Did he think it was £45 per cruiser or £45 per week Obviously he needs training I wonder how many fell for his patter Was he South African? Service is terrible since they moved there from Swansea
Pensioncruiser Posted March 11, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2018 When I have booked on line it always charges £45 PW then takes off to bring it back to £45 per booking. Sent from my VF-895N using Forums mobile app
jake 26 Posted March 11, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted March 11, 2018 That's interesting. I have only ever experienced the figure of £45 whatever the cruise length. I wasn't aware that you could select a cabin on line, I thought it had to be done via telephone. I can't recall seeing the availability of doing that, and I always book on line. Hi jake you cannot book the cabin online but after you have called to book your cabin you receive an amended booking and if you look in the Financial details under price break down it will show pre booked cabin cost of £45 for each week then further down it shows a price adjustment of -£45 giving the cost as you say of £45 per cruise. I have checked our past paperwork and this, for us, has always been the format.
jake 26 Posted March 12, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted March 12, 2018 Thanks PC. I've just checked the booking amendment from the said phone call and it only shows the £45 addition and no other adjustment.
