shortstop95 Posted March 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2018 Hey there we will be cruising and in the port of Naples for the day. We've done Pompeii, so looking for a tour provider that does both Capri and Amalfi Coast with a stop in Positano. Any suggestions?
euro cruiser Posted March 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2018 My suggestion would be to stop looking for a tour operator. Car services don't go to Capri and you can move faster on water than on land. Also, it is impossible to get to Capri, Positano and the Amalfi Coast. You can get to Capri and Positano but forget about also driving along the coast, there simply isn't enough time. The most efficient routing will depend on the timing of ferry services between Positano and Capri at the time of your cruise. The segments would include a car service transfer between Positano and Naples, and ferries between Positano and Capri and Capri and Naples. You would either take a car service from the ship to Positano, then ferries from there or a ferry in the morning to Capri, another to Positano, and a car service transfer back to Naples. Again, the order would depend on the timing and availability of ferries between Capri and Positano.
Grant2000 Posted March 29, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2018 I'd suggest that you choose between Capri and the Amalfi Coast and not try to do both on one day. There is a direct ferry between Naples and Capri that you can take. The Circumvesuviana Commuter Rail service from Naples and Sorrento is a quick/inexpensive mode of transportation between Naples and Sorrento (start of the Amalfi Coast). https://naplesitaly.ca/excursions/

Actually, Sorrento is not on the Amalfi Coast and not the start of it, it's on the opposite side of the peninsula.
realnice46 Posted April 2, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 2, 2018 Depending on your time you could take ferry to Capri then ferry to Sorrento then train back to Naples. Not sure you could do Positano.
