Car Hire San Pedro LA?

Does anyone know whether you can hire a car from San Pedro after getting off Ship. We want a car for a few days before heading to LAX

I put in a pretend date and looked up Enterprise for you. They will pick you up at the cruise terminal. If the link doesn't work, search for Enterprise in San Pedro.

You can actually see the Enterprise location across the parking lot at the San Pedro pier. They have a shuttle that operates quite frequently to get you and your luggage to their office. They normally charge an extra $25 for a one way drop off charge if you return the rental to an airport.

Avis has a location at Long Beach Airport and another on Pacific Highway, Long Beach. No drop off charge for one way. You would probably need to get a taxi or Supershuttle or Roadrunner shuttle www.rrshuttle to their location though, so if the Enterprize rental price was equal + $25 drop off fee it would cost about the same. You might want to check prices for cars from various rental car companies in the area as they do vary, even from same company at different locations.

We where going to go with Enterprise but the San Pedro Location is closed on Sundays. In the end we have a great deal with Avis - dropping off at Long Beach and with the added bonus of no one way drop off fee.:)

Enterprise is very close to the San Pedro pier. However, the location is only open in the mornings on Saturday and not at all on Sunday. Avis does have locations in downtown Long Beach (about a 10 minute car ride away) and at the Long Beach airport.

We rented a car from National @ the Long Beach Airport & dropped it off at LAX the next day. It was $29 for a full size car, $40 (including tip) taxi ride from San Pedro to Long Beach air port & no drop off fee.

 

Half an hour after getting off the ship we were in the car & on our way to Disneyland. It was pretty painless. I know we could have paid a little less for a shuttle service but it would have taken a little more time.
