kruzseeka Posted April 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2018 The P & O Flights are they direct from London to Barbados and St. Lucia or are there stops? Best regards Krydstosser (Means Cruise maniacs in Danish :D ) They are direct flights. Allowing for time differences, flights arrive in the Caribbean during the afternoon and return flights are overnight arriving in the UK early morning. kruzseeka Posted April 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2018 Thanks, we have been on Oceana a "Med" cruise in 2012 she was a wonderful ship. Glad you enjoyed Oceana - she's doing a great itinerary in the Eastern Med this year. We love the mid-size ships - Oceana, Oriana, Aurora and Arcadia all appeal to us although we've enjoyed Azura in the Caribbean too. It's all personal choice and depends on your requirements but itinerary is the main factor for us. I hope if you are thinking of booking that you enjoy your next experience of P&O. soobs Posted April 2, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 2, 2018 We've done both and have flown BA x 1, TUI many times and T Cook x 3. we prefer the TC flight as seating configuration is better as they have 2 4 2 , don't overly rate the Dreamliner. We prefer flying in and out of Barbados as we find it so much more accessible with more to do, we love St Lucia but prefer it as a day out stop off with a trip to the beach or as we once did the Colsol tours trip which was great. ScotchBoy Posted April 3, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 3, 2018 We prefer the flight to/from Barbados. As the ship is in dock overnight, you always get to spend time on the island. The ship is only in St Lucia for the day, so basically it's wasted on travelling. Also, the journey from Britannia to the airport is far more harrowing on St Lucia than Barbados. The roads are very bad and as it's not a leisurely excursion, the driver really puts his foot down to get there as quickly as possible. St Lucia airport is not up to much either; okay if you're just flying in but we would never do it again. Barbados for us every time.
