Caz35 Posted April 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2018 Hi there everyone, I won a 3-4 night cruise with p&o and am looking at taking the Whitsunday cruise on June 12th this year. My husband has agreed to come with me and seeing as it is only a short cruise I am anxious he enjoy it so that he might agree to do it again. Conditions of the win are that the cruise be completed by OCt 25th this year. Is June an ok month, weatherwise to travel. He is a bit concerned about getting seasick, which I have tried to reassure him that chances are this will not happen. I went on the Pacific Dawn (which is the ship that this cruise is on) last Oct with my sister for a week on the Island Hopper Cruise. I loved it and I wanted to go on the Dawn again as I know this ship and feel comfortable on it. My main concern is the weather. Has anyone sailed during June along the Queensland coastline and if so what was the weather like. Not too worried about rain as we will have lots to do indoors but just hope it is not a rough ride. Thanks for any advise.
CoopColbie Posted April 4, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2018 I've done a 4-nighter from Brisbane to Airlie Beach in July previously (funnily enough, I won that cruise too). The weather was excellent - very calm and barely felt the ship moving.
