marcyjane Posted April 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2018 For those of you that might have stayed in "Suite" Hotel in Seattle. Looking for a suite hotel pre cruise in Seattle hoping for close to port & Pike Place Market.
VibeGuy Posted April 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2018 There are five “all-suite” (read: mostly suite) properties near or in the downtown core; Embassy Suites Pioneer Square, Homewood Suites on Pike, Homewood Suites on Western, Hyatt House and Residence Inn South Lake Union. Only the Residence Inn is more than a mile from the market, but it has a streetcar stop in front of the hotel that will take you within six blocks of the market. As this is a downtown area, not all of the rooms have separate bedrooms like the typical suburban locations - check carefully for the “studio suite” or “den” configurations that are oversized regular guest rooms without a door to the bedroom. I’ve been in all of these fairly recently, with the exception of the Hyatt House, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend any of them. Some rooms at the Embassy and Homewood on Western have partial views of Elliott Bay. The Residence Inn has some rooms with views of Lake Union. Hotels with some particularly good suite units include any of the Silver Cloud locations, Inn at the Market, Four Seasons, Fairmont or the downtown Hyatts. Courtyard South Lake Union has a limited number of King Suites with fantastic lake views, but is approximately the same distance from the market as the Residence Inn without benefit of the streetcar across the street. If you don’t care about the bedroom door, I like the Hyatt Place - standard rooms have a sitting area with a large L-shaped sectional and work desk, along with a fridge. marcyjane Posted April 30, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted April 30, 2018 Thank you VibeGuy I will look into all of these. I'm traveling with my friend and her husband and so that's why we are looking for a "suite" with separate bedroom for them and I'll do the sofa bed in the sitting ares. fastpitchdad Posted April 30, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2018 You should also check airbnb...it might be your best bet for multi-room accommodations downtown.
