Ideas for transportation and post cruise hotel

We are cruising on the Sun in a few weeks out of Miami. We are flying into Ft Lauderdale the morning of the cruise. I'm wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for transportation between the Ft Lauderdale airport and the Miami cruise terminal that the Sun uses.

Also, do you have any ideas for a post cruise hotel that would pick us up at the Miami cruise terminal on Saturday after the cruise, and then take us to the Ft Lauderdale airport for a Sunday night flight?

We got a better deal on flights flying into Ft Lauderdale instead of Miami, but now I'm wondering if that may cause more difficulty in finding transportation.

I would appreciate any tips you may have. Thank you and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR :)

We always fly into FLL from Denver because it's cheaper than into Miami. We've used http://www.a1worldwidelimo.com twice and they've always been right on time. We get the sedan option. The driver meets you at airport baggage with a sign.

Meeting you at the pier is a little more difficult, make sure they have your cell phone number. You can call them to find/get status on your driver, too.

Since you're staying a day after, you can arrange for them to pick you up at your hotel the next day. I'd just take a taxi from the ship to your hotel. If you stay downtown, it will only cost about $10.

NCL contracts with private bus companys to provide transportation to the port. You have to book them through your cruise line.

A lot of Ft Lauderdale locals use Tri-County Airport Express. Its $18pp to Port of Miami. http://www.floridalimo.com/Pages/sharedr.html

When you arrive at the airport, collect your luggage and go outside the baggage claim area, lower level, curbside, contact one of our starters (customer services reps.) wearing a white shirt with "AIRPORT EXPRESS" in red on the back of the shirt and an emblem on the sleeve and over the breast pocket. Let the starter know what service you are interested in and he/she will assist you.

Have not heard of any hotels that provide transportation from Port of Miami to Ft Lauderdale.
