We have cruised several times as a group of 7 and normally book balcony cabins next to each other. We have never cruised MSC and are just wondering if the dividers between the balconies can be removed, we have had the removed on Celebrity and P&O but only on the newer ships.

Yes they can be unlock. We had them unlocked for us on the Divina we have an upcoming trip on the Seaside and I have read on here that another family asked for them to be unlocked and they were told they could only be unlocked while docked due to safety reason. I really hope that is not ture. Anyone on here that was able to have them unlocked please let know.

We have not yet sailed on the Seaside (we go the first week of June ) but on the Divina last July we had the balcony dividers open between 3 adjacent cabins , and they were open during our entire cruise . We are hoping to have them open on our upcoming cruise .

last time we sailed on MSC Divina, they (MSC) wouldn't unlock the balconies for us. THEY said it was a safey issue the USA Coast Guard and they would not unlock them...but we were already left ort , so maybe that was the issue.. no idea... but whole cruise we could see be with our other friends on each balcony, grrr

We were on the Meraviglia in October and they refused to unlock them for safety reasons. We were in a Superfamily cabin which is sold as 1 cabin, but they still refused [emoji35]

We had 3 cabins in a row on the Seaside in February.

They refused to open them. Apparently our steward did it for some passengers on a prior cruise and got in trouble for doing it and therefore wouldn't do it for us.
